Resource: Intersectionality Resource Guide and Toolkit

UN Women and United Nations Partnership on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities published this guide recently on the importance of intersectionality in addressing inequalities.

As you may know, I use an intersectional lens and approach in all my work since it involves understanding the structural and systemic barriers that marginalise certain groups and others in power.

Though the UN system may have flaws and is itself a Bretton Woods institution that perpetuates this power dynamic, I found the guide interesting. The fact that it begins with the need for us to shift our mindset and worldview had me intrigued.

I regularly use the Power Flower tool when facilitating workshops on power and intersectionality, so I'm glad to see useful resources like it being shared widely.

Check it out, and let me know what you think. I hope you can use some of these ideas in your work; if not, let me know, and hopefully, I can help!
