Decolonising Evidence: Locally-Led and Defined Approaches to Measure Programme Success

I had the honour of facilitating a panel discussion during the START Network's Annual Assembly. The discussion examined different ways to collect and measure data, programme success, and our specific interventions, from the perspective of the communities we work with.

I facilitated a panel with Saaed Ullah Khan from GLOW Consultants in Pakistan, Anuarite Kabuo from Midefehops in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Pradita Pertiwi from Rooted Impact in Indonesia.

It was a lively discussion where instead of reiterating the problem, we went straight to solutions. We discussed the considerations in making data collection and analysis participatory and most importantly, the important next steps for organisation who wanted to get started.

There's a lot of great material here and it was a joy to bring this topic to life. You can see a recording of the full session here, and a synthesis report here. Let me know what you think!
